The Columbus Destroyers of the Arena Football League will hold preliminary auditions for the team’s official dance squad, THE BOMBSHELLS, on Monday, January 5 from 5-9 p.m. at Nationwide Arena. A select group of candidates will then be called back for semi-final rehearsals on Tuesday, January 6 and Wednesday, January 7 from 6-8 p.m. at Nationwide Arena. Information regarding date and location of final auditions is forthcoming.

Participants must be 18 years of age or older by December 31, 2003 and must be a high school graduate or hold a GED (please bring photo ID). All interested applicants must attend the preliminary audition and all candidates selected at the preliminaries are required to attend semi-final rehearsals. The audition will consist of learning and executing a short jazz/hip-hop style routine. Participants do not need to bring prepared material to this audition and are asked to wear appropriate dance shoes and attire (no baggy clothes).

The Columbus Destroyers kick off the 2004 season Saturday, February 7 at Indiana followed by the inaugural home opener Friday, February 13 hosting Carolina. Season tickets are available now starting as low as $72 for eight games. Information regarding the sale of individual game tickets will be announced soon.
