COLUMBUS, OH – Elton John and his band will appear live as part of his 2005 Peachtree Road Tour in Columbus, Ohio on Friday night, March 11 at 8 p.m. "Elton John is known globally as an outstanding performer," said Jay Cooper, General Manager of Nationwide Arena. "This is the first time the legendary ‘Rocket Man’ has performed at Nationwide Arena since he paired with Billy Joel for the Face To Face Tour in April 2003. Nationwide Arena is honored to announce today that Elton John will bring the Peachtree Road Tour to our venue in 2005."

Tickets go on sale Saturday, December 4 at 10 a.m. at the Nationwide Arena Ticket Office and through Ticketmaster.

The monumental career of international singer/songwriter and performer Elton John has spanned more than three decades making him one of the top-selling solo artists of all time. He has won a wide array of industry awards including Grammys, Tonys and an Oscar and continues to add innovative work to his personal repertoire of 35 gold and 25 platinum albums.

Elton John and his band, including Davey Johnstone, Guy Babylon, Bob Birch, John Mahon and Nigel Olsson, come to Columbus to play his greatest hits and more recent songs from his new release, Peachtree Road.

Tickets are $76, $56, and $36 (includes $1 facility fee) and may be purchased at the Nationwide Arena Ticket Office, at all Ticketmaster Ticket Centers, online at ticketmaster.com or by phone at (614) 431-3600. Tickets are also available at the Blue Jackets Zones at Chiller Dublin, Chiller Easton and the new Chiller North. All tickets are subject to service charges and facility fees. There is an eight-ticket limit per purchase.
