Event & Arena News OHIO HOCKEY CLASSIC SHOWCASES COLLEGE HOCKEY DEC. 29 & 30COLUMBUS, OH – The second annual Ohio Hockey Classic, hosted by The Ohio State University, returns to Nationwide Arena for two days featuring four games of college hockey action on Thursday, December 29 and Friday, December 30. Games are set for 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. each day. Tickets are on sale now at the Nationwide Arena Ticket Office and through Ticketmaster. This 2005 tournament features host Ohio State along with Miami (Ohio) representing the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) while this year’s invitational schools are Holy Cross (Atlantic Hockey Association) and New York’s Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) of the ECAC Hockey League.
The hometown Buckeye squad is bolstered by five NHL draft picks including sophomore forward Tom Fritsche who was selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the second round (47th overall) during the 2005 Entry Draft. Other NHL draft picks include Ian Keserich (Colorado 2004), Matt McIlvane (Ottawa 2004), Tyson Strachan (Carolina 2003) and Nate Guenin (NY Rangers 2002).

Tickets are $11 per day (includes facility fee) and include both games. Tickets may be purchased at the Nationwide Arena Ticket Office, at all Ticketmaster Ticket Centers, online at ticketmaster.com or by phone at (614) 431-3600. Tickets are also available at the Blue Jackets Zones at the Chillers Dublin, Chiller Easton and Chiller North. All tickets are subject to service charges and facility fees.
