COLUMBUS, OHIO - Playwright, director, producer and actor Tyler Perry brings another colorful story of Madea Simmons to life in his latest gospel musical comedy, "Madea Goes to Jail," coming to Nationwide Arena for one show only on Tuesday, May 2 at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 7 at 10 a.m. at the Nationwide Arena Ticket Office and through Ticketmaster.

Theater audiences have been following the family adventures of the incomparable Madea beginning with "I Can Do Bad All by Myself" followed by "Diary of a Mad Black Woman," "Madea's Family Reunion" and "Madea's Class Reunion." In Perry’s fifth stage incarnation as Madea, the outspoken, gun-toting grandmother finds herself behind bars in "Madea Goes to Jail."

In February 2005, Tyler Perry brought Madea to the big screen when "Diary of a Mad Black Woman" debuted in movie theaters across the country.
