Event & Arena News MARTINA McBRIDE AT NATIONWIDE ARENA ON FEB. 1COLUMBUS, OH – Country music superstar Martina McBride brings her “Waking Up Laughing” tour to Nationwide Arena on Friday, February 1 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday, November 16 at 10 a.m. at the Nationwide Arena Ticket Office and through Ticketmaster. McBride’s 2007 release, Waking Up Laughing, features the smash hit “Anyway” and the upbeat “How I Feel.” Destined to become another McBride classic, “Anyway” has garnered CMA award nominations for “Single of the Year,” “Song of the Year” and “Video of the Year.” Martina is also nominated for “Top Female Vocalist” at the upcoming 2007 CMA Awards. She currently shares the record with Reba McEntire for most wins in the category, claiming “Top Female Vocalist” four times. McBride’s powerhouse voice has earned her more than 16 million in CD sales, garnering six number ones and 22 top-ten singles including her signature hits “Independence Day,” “Wild Angels,” “A Broken Wing” and “This One’s for the Girls.” Joining McBride on tour is Texas-born singer/songwriter Jack Ingram, whose current CD, This Is It, has spawned four consecutive national radio hits including the # 1 smash, “Wherever You Are.” Opening the show will be Nashville newcomers Lady Antebellum. The trio’s self-penned debut single, “Love Don’t Live Here,” has recently been released to country radio. An album is expected in early spring 2008.
