Event & Arena News WOMEN OF FAITH ANNOUNCE FEATURED SPEAKERS(Columbus) Women of Faith will be held at Nationwide Arena in Columbus April 25-26, 2008. Thousands of women from the Columbus area and across the nation will be gathered for a weekend filled with inspiration, laughter and time to relate to other women.
“It’s such a great time for women to get away for a weekend and be with our girlfriends,” says Nancy Persinger, from Medinah, IL. “We all need to do that at least once a year – if not more.”
As the nation’s largest women’s conference, Women of Faith has drawn almost 4 million women to events across North America since it began in 1996. Featuring a fluid mix of contemporary music, comedy, drama and inspirational stories, the events provide an experience not easily forgotten by the women that attend.
“It was fun. It was great to be there with women of all ages, being able to interact with them,” said Billie Davis, an attendee in Dallas, TX. “The messages were inspiring, but done in a way that one could laugh through their tears.” The Columbus conference will feature a variety of speakers and special guests from both mainstream society as well as traditional ministry, including Anita Renfroe (regular featured comedian on Good Morning America), Natalie Grant (two-time dove award winner for best female vocalist), Sheila Walsh (former host of the 700 Club) and Nicole C. Mullen (Eight-time dove award winner) to name a few. More than 19,000 women are expected to attend the Women of Faith Conference in Columbus and tickets are still available. What the media is saying about Women of Faith: “That the speakers openly discuss their problems, including depression and drug addiction, is what makes Women of Faith unique. It shows you don’t have to have it all together.” –Associated Press
