Alcohol Policy

Sales of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 21 are strictly prohibited. Nationwide Arena vendors are required to ask every purchaser of an alcoholic beverage (regardless of age) for a valid driver’s license or identification card. We ID everyone 40 and under.

In accordance with Ohio law, Delaware North Sportservice will only accept Ohio Driver’s Licenses, ID Cards issued by the Ohio Department of Public Safety for guests who do not drive, driver’s licenses from other states/ Canada that can be validated OR valid Military ID’s or Passports. Delaware North Sportservice reserves the right to refuse service to any guest. Nationwide Arena and the Columbus Blue Jackets are proud to partner with Bud Light and Delaware North Sportservice to provide a designated driver program. 



Service Animals as defined by the American Disabilities Association are the only animals permitted in Nationwide Arena. 


Assisted Listening Devices

Headsets and receivers for our multi-channel LPB Radio-Aide are available for most events free of charge at Guest Services, located across from Section 111 on the main concourse. Guests will be required to leave valid identification, such as a driver’s license, as collateral. Devices only carry in house feed/commentary (i.e. no play by play for CBJ games). Guests wanting to hear play by play from the broadcast at CBJ games are permitted to bring a small, handheld radio into the arena.



Huntington Bank ATMs are available on the main concourse across from section 112 and 118 and on the upper concourse across from section 206. 



As a general rule, guests do not have the opportunity to obtain autographs from athletes or artists. For some concert tours or at certain designated games, special autograph sessions may be set up in the concourse.


Bag Policy

For safety and to expedite guest entry, Nationwide Arena and the Columbus Blue Jackets have implemented the following bag policy: No backpacks, large duffels or any bag that will not fit beneath your seat without obstructing other guests.  All bags are subject to search.



Nationwide Arena is served by two CoGo Bike Share stations at Neil & Nationwide and Nationwide & Front. Bike parking is available at Nationwide Blvd. & John H. McConnell Blvd., as well as the east side of the arena.


Big Lots! Box Office

The Big Lots! Box Office at Nationwide Arena is located at the corner of Nationwide Blvd. and John H. McConnell Blvd. at the southwest corner of the arena. The Box Office accepts cash, Discover, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Service charges may apply. CLICK HERE for all things ticketing!


Camera Policy

Video cameras, professional cameras with detachable or zoom lenses, GoPros, selfie sticks, and tripods are prohibited. Point and shoot cameras, with a non-detachable lens, are typically permitted. Concerts will have their own tour policy - call 614-246-2000 to verify for a specific event. At no time may photography interfere with other guests’ enjoyment.


Cell Phones/ Computers

Computers, laptops or tablets are not permitted. Charging stations can be found around the arena concourses.


Child Ticket Policy

For Columbus Blue Jackets games, children ages 2 and over are required to have a ticket for admission. For most Concerts and Special Events, a child under 2 years old does not need a ticket but we recommended you call 614-246-2000 before you buy as some family shows have policies requiring tickets for those under 2 years old.


Code of Conduct

Guests are expected to act responsibly and be considerate of others. Guests engaging in improper conduct (including but not limited to profane or abusive language, intoxication, and fighting/ throwing objects) may be ejected without refund and are subject to arrest. CLICK HERE - NHL FAN CODE of CONDUCT

Designated Driver Program

Nationwide Arena and the Columbus Blue Jackets are proud to partner with Bud Light and Delaware North Companies – Sportservice to provide a designated driver program. 



Doors for Blue Jackets games and most arena special events typically open one (1) hour prior to event start time. Subject to change.


Drop Off / Pick Up Locations

Please West Street for guest drop off or pick-up.


Entry/ Re-Entry

Nationwide Arena does not allow re-entry with the same ticket. Guests with emergencies who want to leave and then return should go to the Guest Services Desk on the main concourse across from section 111.


Family Amenities

  • Changing Stations - available in all restrooms.
  • Family Restrooms - Nationwide Arena offers family restrooms in the main concourse near sections 101, 110, 118 and on the upper concourse near sections 206, 221, 228.
  • Quiet Room - For select events, a free Quiet Room is made available offering a place for parents or guardians to wait while their children enjoy the event. An event ticket is not required, however, those without tickets must remain in the Quiet Room and do not have access to the show at any time.

First Aid

OhioHealth provides first aid and paramedic services for all events at Nationwide Arena. First-aid rooms are located on the main concourse outside Section 120 or on the upper concourse outside Section 206.


Food & Beverage

Outside food and beverage is prohibited within Nationwide Arena. Delaware North Sportservice is Nationwide Arena’s exclusive food and beverage services provider offers a variety of items on the main, Club Level and upper concourses.

Diner-themed concession stands offer traditional arena fare such as hot dogs, pretzels, popcorn, assorted Pepsi products and a wide variety of domestic and craft beers including Anheuser-Busch products, Labatt, Yuengling and Columbus' own Land Grant.

Grill-themed concession stands add a twist to traditional fare with choices like pulled pork sandwiches, in-house smoked meats, Bacon on a stick and Chef inspired sandwiches including gourmet grilled cheese.

Papa John’s 8’’ Personal Pizzas (Always fresh-never frozen) are available at four concourse locations.

Homemade desserts and Tim Horton's coffee are available throughout the arena.

FOX Sports Ohio Blue Line

In addition to Blue Jackets novelties, shirts, hats and more, the FOX Sports Ohio Blue Line locations offer the Adidas Authentic Pro Collection, and jerseys available in authentic and breakaway versions for both home and road. Retail at Nationwide Arena is proudly operated by Delaware North Sportservice.

Guest Services

Our Guest Services staff is ready and eager to assist with any needs during an event at Nationwide Arena. Guest Services desks are located by the east entrance on the main concourse near section 111 and on the upper concourse near section 208.


Lost & Found

During an event, lost items can be dropped at the Guest Services Desk across from section 111. If the lost item is not found during the event, guests may contact security lost & found at 614-246-4632 to inquire.


OhioHealth Ice Haus

The OhioHealth Ice Haus at Nationwide Arena is the practice home of the Columbus Blue Jackets. This one-of-a-kind facility is also home to St. Charles High School Hockey, Upper Arlington High School Hockey, the Ohio AAA Blue Jackets, Hilliard High School Hockey, the Greater Columbus High School Club Hockey League, and used by visiting NHL teams. Public activities include youth and adult hockey leagues, public skating, and private group events.

PA Announcements / Paging/ Birthday-Anniversary wishes

PA announcements at the request of guests cannot be accommodated during events. To reach somebody attending an event (emergency ONLY), call the Administrative Offices at 614-246-2000 and provide their exact seat location.

Prohibited Items

For the safety and comfort of guests, staff, and artists, the following items are prohibited:

  • Air horns or noisemakers of any type
  • Animals (except service animals assisting guests with disabilities)
  • Balloons and beach balls
  • Blankets
  • Cans, bottles, coolers, or any similar containers
  • Drones or any other model aircraft
  • Fireworks or explosives
  • Hazardous materials (chemicals, paints, fuels, aerosols, etc.)
  • Illegal drugs
  • Laptops and tablets
  • Laser pens or laser products
  • Outside food and beverages
  • Sealed or wrapped packages (for employees, athletes, or performers)
  • Poles or sticks (including selfie sticks)
  • Signs / posters larger than 22" x 28"
  • Signs, posters, or garments deemed offensive or with derogatory characterization directed toward any person or group
  • Strollers
  • Umbrellas (golf style) or umbrellas with a pointed tip
  • Weapons of any type (includes licensed concealed carry weapons, knives, mace, blades, tools, etc.)

Vending, peddling, product sampling and flyering is prohibited. Any item that management deems may pose a safety hazard or diminish the enjoyment of an event by other guests may be confiscated. If prohibited items are found, guests may return it to their vehicle OR surrender the item. Nationwide Arena cannot safeguard personal belongings.



Security/ Screenings

Nationwide Arena management reserves the sole right to determine the type of pre-event screening at events. Any item that management deems may pose a safety hazard or diminish the enjoyment of an event by other guests may be confiscated. If prohibited items are found, guests may return it to their vehicle OR surrender the item. Nationwide Arena cannot safeguard personal belongings.

In addition to normal building search procedures, guests coming to Columbus Blue Jackets games and other events will be asked to comply with NHL security requirements and Tour mandates including removing hats, emptying metal from their pockets and passing through a metal detector. Refusal to comply may result in being denied entry into the venue.

Smoking Policy

Nationwide Arena is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is permitted ONLY outside the Front St. doors directly across from section 110 AND only after the event begins.



Taxis can normally be found after an event along High Street just east of the venue. 


Tours / Visitor Information

Tours of Nationwide Arena are available to groups with a minimum of 10 people Tuesday-Thursday, 10AM-3PM on non-event days. At least 5 business days advance notice is requested. No food or drink permitted on tours.  Please allow 1-2 business days for a response.

Wheelchair Escorts

Complimentary wheelchair escorts are available at any entry point of Nationwide Arena. Upon arrival, ask any uniformed staff member for a wheelchair - arrangements do not need to be made in advance. The escort will take guests as close as possible to their seat and make arrangements for a pick up after the event. Please be aware that our escort staff will not remain with you during the event, nor will they allow you to remain in our wheelchair for the duration of the event.
